"How do we deal with the white man"
Camae - The Mountaintop
Location: National Assembly of Wales
Date: Monday 2nd October
Time: 12:30 - 16:00
To kick off our tour of The Mountaintop across Wales and to celebrate Black History Month, Fio are hosting a special event at the Senedd. We are bringing people together to be a voice, to have conversations, and to continue to break down the barriers that are unfortunately still very prevalent in Wales.
Fio believes that everyone has a story to tell and we want to bring people together to listen and respond. Fio believes it is important to have a discussion about race in a building which is majority white. We want to promote and celebrate the diversity of Wales and put all voices on the national agenda.
Hosted by Isaiah Hull who has performed with Lemn Sissay and Skepta as well as appearing @ Radio 1’s Big Weekend and TedXManchester. Joined by Special Guests, a host of other powerful music, spoken word and open discussions. The creative team of The Mountaintop will also share their experience and talk about the exciting upcoming tour.
Come and have honest and frank discussions about race within Wales with key decision makers, organisations and individuals who are responsible for change.
Join us on Monday 2nd of October at the National Assembly for Wales Senedd from 12:30pm - 4:00pm and be part of the change that needs to happen now!
This event is RSVP only, so to attend, or for more information, please email Danny@wearefio.co.uk or register on Eventbrite.
‘The Mountaintop reminds us that although it may be more than 40 years since Luther King was assassinated, the fear, ugliness, the sheer wilful ignorance and blindness of the human species is as powerful as ever’
